Automation Solution Provider, Astech Projects to launch inhaler testing product at DDL2018

For the 14th consecutive year Astech Projects will be attending DDL2018 (Drug Delivery to the Lungs) conference to be held 12-14 December 2018, EICC, Edinburgh. This will be a key event as we’ll be launching and exhibiting our latest automated inhaler testing product, the Blister Strip Recovery Workstation.

With over 23 years’ experience in providing automated solutions, Astech’s Blister Strip Recovery Workstation will allow analysts to prepare accurate and repeatable analytical samples through repeatable, safe piercing and washing of DPI blister pockets. The main benefit of the Workstation is the reduction in recovery variability when compared to the manual process leading to the provision of consistent and reliable data. This process improvement will provide accelerated development of the inhaled product.

System features include a fully calibrated and automatically controlled metering pump to ensure the API is efficiently recovered for analysis. Interchangeable strip holders will accommodate variations in blister strip sizes. There are also health and safety benefits as the Workstation will eliminate exposure to sharp instruments.

Astech are also pleased to announce our Xelair® 1 Series, Shot Weight Testing system will feature on Chiesi Farmaceutici’s poster “Analytical Technology to Improve the Efficiency of Through-life analysis on DPI Products” at the exhibition in poster position number 35.

The Astech team will be available on stand 256 to show the Blister Strip Recovery Workstation and to discuss your automation requirements. We also have exciting news to share on future product developments and we’d be delighted to get your feedback.
